For those of you who didn’t see the first journal, we’re going to have another opening. Originally, the deadline to have your application finished was the 20th of February, but since we've been trying to get some administrative issues sorted out we’re pushing back the date to March 1st. That means that you have about a month and a half to create or polish up a character to submit. Again, just so it’s clear~
This means that by March 1st you should send the group a note with a link to your application (which should already be uploaded to deviantArt). We will look at all the applications after the deadline and let you know if you've been accepted a week after the deadline has passed.
If you have questions regarding your character, or would like us to take a look at what you have and make suggestions, be sure to comment or send us a note. If you think you’ll have issues submitting your application to us on time, DEFINITELY send us a note. We won't not late ones unless there is a serious emergency (like your computer craps out two hours before the deadline or something). As of right now, we’re planning on accepting:
If you’ve read the previous journals about how the applications work, you will know that somewhere in the description of your character you should list your top 3 choices of what you would like your character to be. If your character impresses us but can't fit in your first choice, you will be contacted about possibly making some adjustments for your second choice, etc. So make sure your character is well crafted, regardless of their ability (or lack of) to bend.
SOME THINGS TO CONSIDER WHEN CREATING AN ORIGINAL CHARACTER:
DESIGN
Not that we want to stifle your creativity, but try to create a character that looks like they belong in the avatar universe. So please, no cat ears, crazy colored eyes, pink hair (unless your character dyes it on a regular basis--but you should explain that), etc.
PROFESSION
went through the trouble of creating a chart of the common professions in RC, and right now the most common professions are:
Try to give your character a job that is unique to RC! There will be more chances to participate in interesting RPs if your character is one of the few (if not the only one) working in that particular area. So get creative!
